Created by famed Danish designer Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella's iconic form has been re-imagined by Louis Poulsen on a smaller scale. The more petite footprint makes it perfect for placement on space-limited-surfaces like shelves and window sills, while its rainbow of color reflects the vision of Panton - drawing from his last exhibition in 1998, entitled "Light and Colour" held at the Trapholt Museum of Modern Art in Kolding, DK.

In keeping with Panton's passion for non-glaring light, each fixture emits a soft and comfortable illumination. The metal version directs the light downwards from the inner white painted shade and the reflection from the trumpet shaped stem, while the acrylic version creates a diffuse light atmosphere due to the color and the downward reflection from the inner shade.
